9LIST ROUTIN3S | NOAH NEIMAN: MORNING

1/ Activate!: When I wake up I like to activate my body and mind. It could be 10 minutes of just jumping around, stretching, hitting some high knees, squats, reading an article, playing Moonlight Sonata on the Sonos … whatever strikes my fancy that day… but I like to make sure to engage a few of my senses and systems to truly wake TF UP!

2/ Hydrate: Never underestimate the power of h20. I make sure I have a glass or two of filtered water in a big chilled glass. It’s like the tin man’s oil can… you just move better when you’re all slicked up. 

3/ Walk the dogs: My morning isn’t complete until I cruise the block with my 3 dogs. It’s like Eddie Murphy screaming out his window saying good morning to everyone in Coming To America. I feel like the neighborhood is a brighter place when those 3 hyena looking dogs are sniffing about.

4/ Coffee: I generally don’t have my first cup of coffee until the afternoon. A morning full of work and my routines naturally wake me up. Coffee, at this point, is more of a ritual. I like to run home, grab the dogs if I have time and walk them to my neighborhood coffee spot. It lets me know the day is halfway done and I need to get after it for the rest of the afternoon. 

5/ Move and groove: I try and hit my morning “activation” routine in the afternoon to keep myself limber. Phil Knight used to run before big meetings. Steve Jobs was known for having his team go for walks while they were meeting. In the afternoon I like to do some quick movement to stay nimble. Closed mouths and slow bodies don’t get fed on this boulevard!

6/ Lunch at Honeybrains: I’m a creature of habit. Just like Steve Jobs laid out his signature outfit, I like to eat from Honeybrains pretty much every afternoon. Eliminating “where should we eat” is extremely liberating. So to gas up for the afternoon push I eat a huge portion of veggies, potatoes, and protein (generally salmon or grass fed steak) The “wake and steak” bowl and “daily catch “ are my go to’s. Ask for the “Noah’s ark” option and they’ll double protein up for those extra gainz! (Get it!?? Two of every animal!)

7/ Hit a Rumble class: I’m a vampire when it comes to my workout times. Growing up I would always hit the gym after school or football practice around 6:30/7 PM; so that routine stuck with me. I generally will hit a Rumble class with my friends or just throw on my Beats and go class Arnold muscle beach style in my building’s gym.

8/ Warzone: My baby brother, Parker, works in E-Sports so we squad up and drop in pretty regularly at the end of the day. Video games are a great palate cleanser after an arduous day… except when we’re getting extra sweaty and toxic with it…. DM me if you trying to run with us 😂😂

9/ Ride out: I like to hop on my Ducati Corse v2 with the full Akrapovic racing exhaust that sounds like Khaleesi’s 4th dragon and disturb the peace of my neighborhood like Ludacris. Riding, especially around NYC, where you have to be on high alert is grounding for me. Sometimes after a long day, my mind is all over the place. Ripping around the island of Manhattan has a tendency to slow my mind down. It helps my mind at ease before winding down for bed.
